As002:Abstraction

This assignment builds upon my work in layering the facade. After separating the facade into layers, I created a 3D abstract model.

This assigment wants to us using the squares and strips and producing a 3D construct which defines a series of well defined volumes with the greatest complexity. We should apply the intersect & cut & fold operations to squares and strips.

As01

This assignment expected to take 2 photos of the same scene which records different shade-shadow conditions.

Then we demonstrated our shadow operations in a 3D structure which consisting of two intersecting planes.

As02:Abstraction-cut&combine

This assignment expected to us select 3 scenes or sequences from a movie of our choice. The name of the movie which I chose was ''Skyscraper'' and from there I chose these three scenes.

Then, I analyzed the selected scenes in terms of the relations between the major elements. Based on the analysis, I produced an abstract construction. This construct consisted of only two types of elements:rectangle and circle.

In the first photo you can see the model divided into 3 parts. In the second photo, you can see one of my own pieces and two different pieces. I gave two pieces of mine to my friends and take two pieces from them too.

ASSIGNMENT 06.6 (01+02.3+03.3)

JURY I

Jury1

I want to start with saying my strategy. My strategy is creating repetition with the help of contrast. My tactic is creating a contrast by arranging the elements alignely and linearly. I am moving to analysing the photograph and phareses. First is contrasted elements. It means that linear elements come together to create constrast due to dark and bright areas. Also ı add the rope because ı want to increase contrast. Second is repetitive compound. It means that the same shadow shapes repeat in different areas. In this photo, there are triangle and rectangle repetition. Paralel elements and light condition cause this situation.

PHRASES:

Repetitive compound: The same shadow shapes repeat in different areas.

Contrasted elements: Linear elements come together to create contrast due to dark and light areas.
